New CA Housing Portal - SFA customer message

The new CA housing portal

SFA customer message

CarillionAmey housing portal launches on 6 March
CarillionAmey (CA) will be launching their new Intranet based SFA application system for Service Family Accommodation (SFA) in the UK at 08:30 on Monday 6 March 2017 as part of their new online ‘housing portal’.

What happens next?
·         CA need to transfer existing SFA applications and occupancy records over to the new housing portal. While they transfer these, the e1132 system will be unavailable.
·         The applications system will be unavailable from 17:00 on Wednesday 1 March 2017 - 08:30 on Monday 6 March 2017. During this time, the CA Occupancy Services phone line will also be closed.
·         If you have an urgent query relating to an existing application for SFA, or your  current SFA property, please contact the Occupancy Services team before lines close on 1 March at 15:00. Contact the Occupancy Services team on 0800 707 6000.
·         The CarillionAmey 24-hour repairs and maintenance Helpdesk will remain open as usual throughout.
·         The DIO SD Accommodation Loss of Entitlement (LOE) team phone line will also be suspended between 16:00 on Wednesday 1 March to 09:00 on Monday 6 March.

Registering for the new portal
·         Week commencing 20 February, all Service personnel with SFA applications already in progress will receive an email from CarillionAmey containing clear instructions about how to register for the new housing portal.
·         To register, those with existing SFA applications will simply be asked to change their password. Their username will remain the same.
·         In the near future, customers will also be able to use the new portal to log repair and maintenance jobs online. CA will release further information about how this will work in due course.

For further information about the housing portal, please email CA:occupancyservices@carillionamey.co.uk

Are You Pension Ready?

Defence Business Services

MOD’s Veterans UK organisation, part of Defence Business Services (DBS), has launched a campaign to encourage Service Personnel, Veterans and their families to get ‘Pension Ready’.

The campaign aims to promote the Armed Forces Pension Schemes, which are administered by Veterans UK, and motivate the Armed Forces Community to start thinking about their Pension throughout their Service career and not just as they are reaching the end of it.

Veterans UK provide several tools for Serving Personnel including; a yearly Pension Benefit Information Statement (BIS), one free Pension Forecast per year and the online Armed Forces Pension Scheme Calculator. Our Armed Forces are also encouraged to keep their Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) record up-to-date so when it’s time to apply for their Pension there will be no delays.

DIO Service Delivery - Information for the MOD Housing Community

 13 February

Information for the MOD housing community
This is the first issue of our new Stakeholder Briefing, which aims to keep people in the MOD housing community informed about the service we provide and any changes, for example in relation to policy, charging, entitlement etc, which may impact on those living in SFA. The format is simple and includes two elements:

- The text in the white areas is for your information – to provide context rather than to share further.
- Information in the shaded boxes are customer messages that we would be grateful if you would consider sharing on your channels and through your chain of command.  We have kept these messages short so they are suitable for online channels, although we will provide links to more detailed information where this is appropriate.

I welcome your views on how useful you have found this update, including any suggestions you have for improving the content, or ideas for how best to share and cascade this information, along with any thoughts you have on the kind of subjects you would be interested in reading about in future updates. Thanks.

Air Commodore Ian Tolfts, Head of DIO Service Delivery Accommodation

Charges for Service Family Accommodation
We received some feedback that the charges for Service Family Accommodation were difficult to find. So we have extracted the information provided by MOD and published this on the SFA website to make it easier to find.
Charges for Service Family Accommodation
Customers who want to find the current list of charges for Service Family Accommodation can now find them more easily on the online or at www.gov.uk/dio/sfa (under Entitlement for SFA).
